Hi there! I'm Katarina, a former lawyer turned web developer.
My journey into software began at Hive Helsinki, where collaboration and peer-to-peer project-based learning are at the core of the pedagogy.
I'm a self-motivated learner, who's tackled solo projects and worked with other students. This allowed me to enhance important soft skills, such as adaptability and communication.
Drawing from my legal background, I approach programming with a keen eye for detail and creative problem-solving.
My interest in cyber security helps me to create websites that are not only user-firendly and maintainable, but also protected against potential threats.

Education
In addition to the projects included in my core studies at Hive Helsinki, I've taken several online courses, including Complete Web Development Bootcamp and Joy of React.
I recently completed the Women in Technology program, an employment program offered by ACCES Employment. During the program, I enhanced my skills and began learning Java, a journey I'm continuing as I expand my expertise in web development. I'm also exploring the underlying functions of the web, computer communication, and the fundamentals of ethical web hacking via TryHackMe's learning paths.
